Mike Wilson joined Alexander Ricks PLLC as a Partner / Member in 2025 and concentrates his work in Commercial / Business Litigation, Real Estate Litigation, Construction Law, Condemnations, Zoning and Land Use. Prior to joining the firm Mike was the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Northwood Ravin, LLC for 10 years. Northwood Ravin was the 11th largest builder and 10th largest developer of multifamily apartments in the US for 2024. Mike started his career at Johnston, Allison and Hord, PA and was the Litigation Practice Group leader before joining Northwood Ravin in 2015.
Mike has represented numerous corporations, large commercial owners, developers and also some of the largest general contractors and subcontractors in the U.S. His range of work has included multimillion dollar construction matters and work in North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. The real estate matters have included condemnation work involving takings by NCDOT and local governments, land use and rezonings, title insurance defense, access, easements and boundary issues, fraud claims, coverage opinions and even a $10M claim based on his client allegedly blowing the top off of the wrong mountain in Western North Carolina.
