Miller Capps focuses his practice on commercial, corporate, and real estate litigation. He represents businesses and individuals in a broad range of disputes, including contract claims arising from commercial transactions and business relationships, as well as business torts such as breach of fiduciary duty, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and constructive fraud. He also has experience in bankruptcy and creditors' rights matters.

Miller's real estate litigation practice includes defending title insurance insureds, mechanics lien defense, and resolving disputes involving access, easements, encroachments, and boundary lines. He also assists clients with title curative actions.

Before joining Alexander Ricks, Miller served as a law clerk for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in North Carolina and South Carolina.
