Carter Lawson is an Associate of Alexander Ricks PLLC. His practice covers mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate and corporate finance, joint ventures, venture capital, mezzanine investment, environmental and regulatory matters (including brownfields redevelopment) and all aspects of environmental due diligence.
Carter represents entrepreneurs, closely held businesses, public companies, private equity funds, lenders, asset management companies, restaurant and retail owners, sports organizations and developers providing tailored advice on various commercial contracts, including non-compete agreements, licensing agreements, supply agreements and engagement letters. He also advises clients on matters involving entity formation and dissolution and federal, state and local environmental laws (including the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, the Clean Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the North Carolina Oil Pollution and Hazardous Substances Control Act, the North Carolina Inactive Hazardous Sites Response Act and the North Carolina Brownfields Property Reuse Act).
Prior to joining Alexander Ricks PLLC, Carter was an Associate in the Charlotte office of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP.
