The attorneys and staff of Alexander Ricks mourn the loss of our beloved colleague Roy H. Michaux, Jr., who died after a brief illness on Friday, October 11, 2024.
Roy was a pillar of the Charlotte legal community, having practiced commercial, real estate, and land use litigation for almost six decades since his graduation from the UNC School of Law in 1965. Despite having garnered dozens of state and national "best of the best" accolades, he approached every matter with humility, consummate professionalism, unwavering integrity, and a heck of a sense of humor. He was a brilliant legal mind and passionate advocate for his clients, and we were privileged he spent the last five years of his rich career with us.
